Academic Qualifications:

i. Diploma Courses: Appeared or passed Class-X or equivalent.
ii. Degree Courses: Appeared or passed Class-XII or equivalent examination in Science stream.

Age Limit:

i. Diploma Courses: 15 to 18 years as on the date of admission in the particular institution to which the candidate may be nominated.

Diploma: CBSE prescribed syllabus for Classes IX and X.

APJEE 2016 Scheme of Examination:

The question papers of the APJEE will be in English only. All questions will be of Objective Type with multiple-choice answers. Each question will carry 4 marks for a correct response. For each incorrect answer to a question, 1 mark will be deducted. There shall be no deduction for un-attempted question.

Directorate is headed by the Director of Higher and Technical Education and office is located at Itanagar. The Director is the chief person to control the whole activities and he is supported by Joint Directors and Deputy Directors.

Directorate of Higher & Technical Education has been established as a separate Department as a result of the bifurcation of Education Department in January, 1996. This Directorate deals with Higher Education from Collegiate level upwards including Science & Technical Education in the State.

The main objectives of the directorate is to provide a bridging role among Ministry of Education (Government of Arunachal Pradesh), Universities in Arunachal, Private Colleges and Government Colleges.

Controlling Government Colleges, Staff sanctioned, staff allocation and fund allocation. Recommendation to Ministry for opening and closing of colleges in a particular region. Salary distribution (UGC Sponsored), control and management. Recommendation for College grants, Evaluation and Management. Education Policies implementation which are enacted by Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Teacher promotion and motivation.
